The church of Sant’Eustachio is a Catholic building located in the hamlet of the same name in the municipality of Montignoso, in the province of Massa-Carrara. The church is the seat of the homonymous parish of the Massa vicariate of the diocese of Massa Carrara-Pontremoli.
The church preserves a table of 1495 by Vincenzo Frediani enclosed in a beautiful Renaissance frame, with the Madonna and Child with Saints Eustachio, John the Baptist, Magdalene and Vito, the Eternal Blessing in the lunette, and Stories of Sant’Eustachio in the predella. In the church there is also a splendid wooden Madonna and Child that can be dated within the very first years of the fourteenth century, recently recognized by an artist from the circle of Giovanni Pisano, and perhaps by the same master.
