Viareggio Calcio is an Italian football club based in the city of Viareggio, in the province of Lucca.
The first Viareggio was founded on March 20, 1919 after the merger between six city teams, and was refounded in 1942, 1994, 2003, and 2014. After a huge chain of bankruptcies, the last corporate incarnation came to light in 2020 under the patronage of the former coach of the national team Marcello Lippi.
The best results of the team are participation in ten Italian cadet championships, four in the Lega Nord and six in Serie B, and the victory of an Italian Amateur Cup. The club colors are black and white. Play your home games at the Torquato Bresciani stadium.

The social colors of Viareggio are black and white which generally take on a broad arrangement on the home shirt.
Official symbols
The identifying symbols of Viareggio are the zebra due to the social colors but also the anchor, present in the emblem of the municipality.
Coat of arms
The emblem of Viareggio Calcio is the emblem of the municipality on a black-and-white background with vertical stripes. In the foreground an old stitched ball of brown leather.
Hymn
The anthem of Viareggio is entitled Viareggio goal, and is written by Egisto Malfatti.
Stadium
The first Viareggio playing field was located in Piazza Cavour. Subsequently he moved from 1915 to 1919 in Piazza Mazzini and then played until 1926 in Villa Rigutti (Piazza Santa Caterina da Siena). In the following years the team moved to the Polisportivo in Darsena and remained there until 1945 when it went to play in the Campo Sportivo dei Pini. In the 1958-1959 season he played in Pietrasanta and then returned to the new Torquato Bresciani stadium until 2018. Today the stadium is closed due to unusability and the first team plays at the “Marco Polo sport center”. The works planned for the redevelopment of the Torquato Bresciani stadium should start in June 2023.
The facility has 5,000 seats, a natural grass field 105×70m wide, an athletics track and a roof over the grandstand.
Supporters
The first ultras group was formed in Viareggio in the 1973-1974 season and took the name of Commandos Zebre. In 1980, when the black and whites descended into the amateur ranks, two new groups were formed called the Black and White Supporters and the Fedayn. One year later, Ultras and Fighters arose and later merged to form Ultras Fighters 1984. In the following years, the main group became U.F.V. which are joined by other short-lived groups which are alcoholic Viareggio, Infiascaderos and the Brigade distrusted. Later, the Matte Tests were formed and in 2003 the Viareggio Autonomous Group. Other groups present to support the Viareggio supporters are the Irriducibili ’84 and 2 May 1920. In 2021 another group joins to support the Viareggios called: “Aficionados Viareggio”.
Twinnings and rivalries
The Viareggio supporters entertain the twinning with Pisa and friendships with Grosseto, Alessandria, Toulon and Bologna.
The rivalries took place with Lucchese, Massese, Pistoiese, Prato, Carrarese, Montecatini and Figline.
