Museo d’arte sacra (Camaiore)

The Museum of Sacred Art of Camaiore is located in the confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament in via IV Novembre.

Exhibition itinerary
The museum collects paintings, sculptures, sacred furnishings and jewelery from the Camaiore area, dating from the 14th to the 18th century.

Of particular note are a polychrome Virgin of the Annunciation in wood by Matteo Civitali, the fourteenth-century Madonna and Child, also in polychrome wood, a Flemish tapestry with Scenes from the Passion (1615) executed on cardboard by Pieter Pannemaker or Giusto di Gand, a panel by Francesco Anguilla (14th century) with the Madonna and Child and saints formerly in the Abbey of Camaiore. Vincenzo Ferreri is responsible for a late fifteenth-century altarpiece.
